Automation frees up time for clients
It is now much more possible to focus on client reporting and controlling instead of input. It gives us greater security when it comes to reconciling holdings and calculating positions, returns, etc. It has become the foundation for a great direct reinforcement of our customer service
Accunia is located right in the heart of Copenhagen, where a monthly ticket for the Metro costs the same as a parking ticket for one day. Accunia is the asset manager for a relatively small circle of clients – small, yes, but exclusive with a service level that matches the yield level: high.
Individual client care and a high level of information is key in Accunia’s business model. The same applies when Accunia chooses its collaborative partners. This was particularly the case when PORTMAN was chosen in the licensing round concerning a new investment management solution in the summer of 2015.
By selecting PORTMAN by Vitec Aloc, you get a solution with a modular structure. A solution that makes it possible to obtain individual adjustments, functionalities, automations, and integrations.
PORTMAN is a very flexible system. Regarding client relations, we achieve a much more agile solution with Vitec Aloc compared to many of the big international systems, which seem to be more inflexible
By implementing PORTMAN, many processes that were previously conducted manually have become automated. In addition to increased security and fewer errors, time has also been released, which can be dedicated to the tasks that are most important for the clients and the business.
“It is now much more possible to focus on client reporting and controlling instead of input. It gives us greater security when it comes to reconciling holdings and calculating positions, returns, etc. It has become the foundation for a great direct reinforcement of our customer service.”
There are investment management systems that offer the same as PORTMAN, and sometimes more, but there are hardly any that offer greater value for money than PORTMAN. In addition, according to John Lind, there was one dimension that was instrumental when Accunia chose PORTMAN, and that was the personal relationships: “We have collaborated with Vitec Aloc since 2009, which we have been highly satisfied with. They have a high degree of business knowledge. Our contacts are people that have personal experience of the financial sector, and this is very evident. They know when a problem risks turning into a business-critical problem, in which case they react very fast”.
Accunia ensures a high return for the clients by being highly professional, but also by keeping the administration costs down. There are quite simply no additional resources that can be diverted from daily operations in order to concentrate on a long-term implementation of a new IT system. Therefore, Accunia decided to go for a quick implementation: five intense months.
“Vitec Aloc knows our business and workflows, and we have an open and straightforward dialogue based on mutual trust”, says John Lind, who continues: “With such a short implementation process, there is always the risk that a problem may suddenly arise that could lead to a critical delay. However, based on our seven years of collaboration with Vitec Aloc, we were confident that Vitec Aloc could handle the task within both the time frame and the budget. And fortunately, that turned out to be the case”.
“We agreed on a fixed price for the project, and this was adhered to – even though I am pretty sure that Vitec Aloc’s team spent more time on the project than was originally planned. To me, that is what characterises good collaboration: by delivering on your promises”, concludes John Lind.
About Accunia
Accunia administers financial assets for both owners, managers, and external clients such as private clients, funds, or institutional clients. Accunia is independent and works thoroughly with each investment in its entirety, including commercial conditions and the need for liquidity.
Accunia’s work is built upon a profound conceptual understanding of which activities and investments make sense. The strategy is ‘buy and keep’, which means that clients only experience a few replacements in their portfolio. Investments are typically kept until their expiration.
